Ran into an issue where externally we could e-mail this user just fine, internally the user would still get the e-mail although users who sent the e-mail would receive the following NDR:

Turns out the user had our company’s mailbox being forwarded to a Microsoft Online account. In doing so Outlook would look at this users mailbox and think it was a MS Online account and deliver the failure above.
